Abstract: Zika disease is an arthropod-borne disease that is most prevalent in tropical and sub-tropical countries. The diagnosis of this disease is made more difficult by its asymptomatic and non-specific symptoms. Ensuring accurate diagnoses of the Zika virus is a challenge because the virus can be found in a variety of examination samples depending on the onset of the disease. Hypotheses related to the transmission of this disease have been raised by many researchers because the transmission process is still uncertain. This article discusses the Zika virus and developments and its detection methods.
